About Jorge Mier y Concha

Jorge Mier y Concha is a partner and head of Arochi and Lindner’s patent and copyright departments. Chambers’ Latin American Guide (2026) ranks him in Band 2. Jorge is particularly skilled in patent and design patent litigation, with extensive legal knowledge. He is also an expert in patent matters. Jorge possesses substantial deal and counselling experience on both domestic and international technology transfers, including licensed patents and software licences. Jorge has been an IP law professor at the Law School of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México since 1995. He is a member of AIPPI, AIPLA, AMPPI, CSUSA, FICPI and INTA, and board undersecretary of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
