Horacio A. López-Portillo
is a partner in Mexico City, where in addition to participating actively in the Foreign Trade and Dispute Settlement practices, he heads the Business Law practice area. He represents private parties in unfair trade investigations, trade policy and tax litigation. He advises on a broad range of trade and customs matters, including WTO law, anti-dumping, subsidies, safeguards, export controls, customs security, and related tax planning. Horacio appears before customs, trade and tax enforcement agencies, appellate bodies and alternative dispute resolution boards based on NAFTA and WTO. He also advises the firm’s clients in all matters related to company formation and transformation, any and all contracts and corporate governance.
