About Gustavo A Alcocer

Gustavo A Alcocer is a partner at OLIVARES, where he leads the corporate and commercial law group and co-chairs the new technologies and data privacy law group. Gustavo draws on more than 30 years’ experience to advise domestic and international businesses on Mexican and cross-border transactions, specialising in IP-intensive sectors. Gustavo holds a JD from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and completed graduate studies at Fordham University’s School of Law. He is affiliated with several professional organisations, including The National Association of Corporate Lawyers (La Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa, or ANADE), Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana de Abogados, or BMA), International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP), International Bar Association, and the Israel-Latin America Chamber of Commerce. Gustavo is fluent in English and Spanish.
