About Quentin Bargate

Quentin Bargate qualified as a solicitor in 1981, founded Bargate Murray in 2004, following a distinguished City career at Lovell White and King and as partner and head of the international trade and shipping group at Simmons & Simmons. He is the CEO of Bargate Murray and widely regarded as one of the top advisors in major maritime arbitration and litigation and transactional shipping matters, particularly all aspects of superyacht work. Quentin is also regularly appointed as a maritime arbitrator under LMAA Terms. He holds an MSc in Marine Law, a Diploma in International Maritime arbitration, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a member of the Baltic Exchange and the Nautical Institute.
