About Javier Márquez Martín

Javier Márquez Martín is a partner at Sol Muntañola Abogados, and has worked in intellectual property since 1990. He began in a specialised police unit, studying organised crime networks and individual infringers. He later served as a substitute State Attorney in Barcelona province. He joined the firm in 1996 and now leads the litigation department, successfully handling cases in copyright, trade marks, designs, patents, unfair competition, and image rights. He combines legal practice with teaching, having been a professor and collaborator at several universities and institutions. Since 2013, he has been Professor and Coordinator of Procedural Law in the IT+IP Master’s programme at ESADE.
