About Gabriel F. Leonardos

Gabriel F. Leonardos is a senior partner and the head of licensing and litigation, whose areas of expertise include patents, copyrights and unfair competition, trade mark prosecution, and arbitration and mediation in IP and contract law. A distinguished lecturer and professor of IP courses, he is a member of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys and the Licensing Executives Society (he is a former president of LES Brazil), as well as the honorary president of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr Leonardos is also a judge in the Ethics Court of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, the vice-president of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI) and a board member of the Federal Bar Association (OAB), where he is the Head of the IP Committee. Due to his long engagement fostering economic and cultural ties between Brazil and Germany, in 2015 the German government awarded Mr Leonardos the Bundesverdienstkreuz (the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany).
