About Fernando Gutiérrez Rizaldos

Fernando Gutiérrez Rizaldos is a counsel in Dentons’ Madrid office and a member of the Banking and Finance department. Prior to joining Dentons, he worked at Clifford Chance, DLA Piper and PwC Tax & Legal Services. He is also a former head of legal and Secretary-General of Sepi Desarrollo Empresarial, S.A., S.M.E. (Sepides). He has served as chairman of the board of directors of the governmental AIFMD Sepides Gestión, SGEIC, S.A., S.M.E., and as member of the board of several governmental companies, as well as secretary and vice-secretary to the board of numerous companies, both governmental and private, listed and unlisted. Fernando has sound experience in financial regulation, as well as banking and finance law and corporate matters, with a strong focus on the financial sector. He has participated in fund formation and transactions with UCITS funds and fund managers, AIFs and AIFMs, SOCIMIs and other vehicles. He has wide experience in multi-jurisdictional fund formation. Fernando has taught and lectured at both domestic universities and international universities. He holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as an Economics degree from the same University. He studied a Master in Laws (LLM) at the University of Berkeley and a Political Science degree in Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
