About Zara Jamal

Zara Jamal is the managing partner of JLA Advogados and a partner at Abreu Advogados (Portugal), widely recognised for her strategic leadership and sophisticated cross-border practice. Admitted in Mozambique, Portugal and the UAE, where she holds rights of audience before the DIFC Courts, she advises on complex project finance transactions across the energy, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, real estate and banking sectors. Zara holds a certification in Islamic finance, and is also actively involved in legal thought leadership, arbitration and fintech regulatory initiatives, while leading impactful pro bono and social development projects in Mozambique.
