About Almira Akbay

Almira Akbay focuses on the technology, e-commerce, intellectual property, technology and media, retail and corporate sectors. She advises clients on IT law, e-commerce law, consumer protection law, corporate law, intellectual property law, data protection law and related dispute resolution processes. Her area of expertise is protection of personal data, and she assists clients on privacy and data protection-related matters to ensure legal compliance. She holds a master’s degree in Law and Technology from Tilburg University. Almira is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. She is a graduate of Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Law (LLB, 2019). She is admitted to the Istanbul Bar and is fluent in English.
