Jose Luis Sorogastua Ruffner is a partner at Thorne, Echeandia & Lema Abogados and head of the firm’s foreign trade and customs practice. A highly experienced lawyer specialising in foreign trade and customs law, he provides expert advice, investigations, and audits in customs and foreign trade logistics operations. He serves as a speaker for the Foreign Trade Committee of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and the Association of Exporters (ADEX). Additionally, he holds the position of vice president of the Peruvian Association of Customs Law and International Trade (APDACI) and acts as a consultant to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. He is also a professor at the Continuing Education Centre of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and the University of Lima. He is recognised as an international expert in arbitration.
