Kerry O'Donnell is a specialist property law partner at Anderson Lloyd, with a specialist focus on property development. She has worked in this specialist area for over 15 years and has been involved in some unique and iconic developments in the Queenstown and Southern Lakes region, particularly with large residential subdivisions, golf resorts and hotel/managed apartment complexes. She has extensive experience in property acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, contracting, leasing, financing and hotel management agreements. She also has expertise in technical property law matters and so is frequently asked to provide expert evidence and make specialist determinations. Kerry has most recently been involved with a number of private property developers in the region to assist on implementation of Special Housing Areas, which has seen several thousand more residential homes and sections delivered to the market in recent years. She is also currently working on a new township development, as well as providing specialist property advice to a government development with a property portfolio. Kerry is a member of the Executive Committee – Property Law Section, of the New Zealand Law Society, and is a committee member in the Otago Chapter of the Property Council. She has published several papers on the subject of real estate.
