About Bruce Caldow

Bruce Caldow is head of Harper Macleod's sports law department and a recognised expert in the field, with a diverse practice. He acts in the highest-profile matters and is lead partner for the firm’s key sports clients, solicitor to the Scottish Rugby Union national team, sportscotland, Scottish Gymnastics, Scottish Swimming and Celtic FC. Bruce is also a legal member of the Scottish Football Association judicial panel, chairing hearings. He has led the team through its support of all Scottish Governing Bodies (SGBs). Recent work includes overseeing large-scale investigations, governance reviews, regulatory change, safeguarding, well-being and conduct in sport work, while also supporting the UK sports councils equality group on trans participation in domestic sport.
