About Scott J Sholder

Scott J Sholder is a partner at Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP and co-chairs the litigation group. He litigates in state and federal courts representing artists, copyright owners, and media companies, primarily in copyright, trade mark, defamation defence, right of publicity, and business disputes. Scott counsels clients in IP and speech-related matters, including best practices, and is plaintiffs’ counsel in three leading AI copyright class actions. A two-time federal law clerk, Scott co-chairs the AI subcommittee of the NYC Bar Copyright Committee, serves on the NYC Bar Entertainment Committee, and vice-chairs the ABA IP Section’s Right of Publicity Committee.
