About Laura Ackroyd

Laura Ackroyd is a senior associate in Herbert Smith Freehills’ corporate practice, specialising in cross-border public and private M&A. Laura advises some of the firm’s largest multinational corporate clients and funds on recommended and hostile public company takeovers, private acquisitions and disposals, carve-outs, joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements and all forms of corporate transactions. Laura also works with a number of the firm’s listed company clients on corporate governance and board advisory matters. Laura lectures annually at Cambridge University to Masters Degree in Corporate Law (MCL) students as part of the deals course.
