About Jefferson Tan

Jefferson Tan is a senior associate in HFW’s Singapore office Commodities team, specialising in climate and sustainable finance, commodities, and derivatives. His expertise includes advising on legal and commercial aspects of voluntary carbon projects, including nature-based and cookstove initiatives, carbon offtake agreements, and carbon project services agreements. Jefferson has also worked on futures products for voluntary carbon credits, UK ETS allowance trading documentation, security documents for environmental products like ACCUs and NZUs, and regulatory matters. Additionally, he has handled complex cross-border banking and finance transactions, representing financial institutions in syndicated lending, bilateral lending, and transportation finance. Jefferson is licensed in both Singapore and England and Wales.
