About Carla Meza

Carla Meza is a tax and legal supervisor who provides tax advice to multinationals and Chile-based companies in several economic sectors, with a special emphasis on financial services. Her work focuses on the taxation of financial instruments, international tax, M&A, and divestitures. International matters also feature prominently in Carla’s work and she was involved in the signature of the Chilean Intergovernmental Agreement of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and the initial stages of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Project of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In 2013-14 she worked as a tax policy adviser to the Chilean Ministry of Finance and in 2017-18 as a consultant to the Directorate of Financial Affairs at the OECD in Paris. Carla has a Master of Science degree in law and finance from the University of Oxford.
