About Rogério Alves

Rogério Alves is the founder and managing partner of Rogério Alves & Associados, where he heads the fraud and white-collar crime department. A lawyer for more than 35 years and former chairperson of the Portuguese Bar Association (between 2005 and 2007), he has built a long and solid legal career and has been involved in several high-profile cases. Rogério established his practice in 1987, actively pursuing major social and legal causes in Portugal and abroad and securing a solid national and international reputation, mostly for his relevant and public participation – namely, through the media – in defending fundamental rights and citizens’ civil rights. His professional activity ranges from general litigation to particular emphasis on criminal and white-collar criminal law.
