About Vitor Sarmento de Mello

Vitor Sarmento de Mello is the one of the partners responsible for regulatory in energy (electricity and oil and gas), and has been practising law for over 23 years, gaining recognition for his work within National Grid Operator (ONS), where managed its regulatory area for about 13 years. He works on regulatory aspects of centralised and self-production/distributed generation and transmission projects, in addition to providing consultancy for energy purchase and sale operations in the free market. Vitor is professor of Regulatory Law in the Energy Law postgraduate programme at the Centre for Studies in Law and Business (CEDIN) and FISUL, and is a member of Electric Energy Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association.
