About Hannah Bain

Hannah Bain is a special counsel at Russell McVeagh and leads the firm’s climate change practice. She advises clients on a wide range of issues relating to the transition to a low-emissions, climate-resilient future, including mandatory climate-related disclosures, greenwashing risk, the emissions trading scheme and climate-related litigation. Hannah recently led the firm’s work on the new mandatory climate-related disclosures regime and advised the Climate Change Commission in connection with its review of the 2050 emissions-reduction targets under the Climate Change Response Act 2002. Hannah is a member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Climate Change Law Reform Subcommittee.
