Mei Fern Johnson
is a partner at Russell McVeagh. She is a multi-award-winning lawyer with 25 years’ experience advising on energy, infrastructure, technology and transport projects. Mei Fern’s energy projects include renewable energy generation (wind, solar and geothermal), BESS, contribution to policy development for regulatory regimes for offshore renewable and decommissioning, and investments in oil and gas. Mei Fern is the lead editor for Russell McVeagh’s popular Energy Blog. She is a director of Crown Infrastructure Partners with NZD2.5 billion in investment and a member of the Capital and Infrastructure Board Committee for Health New Zealand, which runs the New Zealand health system.
