About César Abanto

César Abanto is a partner at Rodríguez Angobaldo Abogados, with 29 years of experience in labour law, litigation and social security. He holds a master’s degree in labour law from UNIR, Spain, and he previously served as a public prosecutor and Head of Legal Advisory at the Ministry of Labour in Peru. He acts as an arbitrator in collective bargaining and supplementary high-risk work insurance matters. In 2019, he represented Peru before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and, in 2021, participated as amicus curiae before the Constitutional Court in a landmark social security case. He is a member of the Civil Service Tribunal and lectures on labour law master’s programmes in Lima.
