About César Abanto

César Abanto is a partner at Rodríguez Angobaldo Abogados, with 28 years of experience in labour law, litigation and social security. He holds a master’s in labour law from UNIR (Spain) and previously served as public prosecutor and head of the Legal Advisory Office at the Peruvian Ministry of Labour. He acts as an arbitrator in collective bargaining and high-risk occupational insurance cases. In 2019, he represented Peru before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and in 2021 he was invited to be amicus curiae by the Constitutional Court in a landmark social security case. He also teaches in leading master’s programmes in labour law in Lima.
