He acts for domestic and international banks, investment firms, international payment/e-money institutions, asset managers, funds and fund promoters, and international law firms. Bill advises on all areas of Irish and EU financial regulation and compliance, including payment services, e-money, anti-money laundering, investment services, market abuse, financial institution M&A, domestic and European banking regulation and the Central Bank of Ireland’s fitness and probity regime. He has advised on the establishment of investment firms, credit institutions and e-money institutions in Ireland, including several large Brexit migration projects, and on the acquisition of multiple Irish-regulated asset managers. He has also acted for clients engaged in Central Bank of Ireland inspections and risk mitigation programmes.
