About Nathalie Smyth

Nathalie Smyth is a partner at Kennedys, and is qualified to practise law in England and Wales, New York and Ireland. She acts for insurers and manufacturers in relation to product liability and life sciences disputes, with a specific focus on defending complex mass tort and group litigation orders. She has significant experience in defending claims against manufacturers of medical devices in the UK, and in co-ordinating the management of product and clinical trials claims in EMEA. Nathalie was an integral part of the team that successfully defended a landmark group litigation action brought against a medical device manufacturer (Gee & Others v DePuy International Ltd). She also regularly publishes thought leadership articles and presents to corporates and their insurers at webinars and lectures.
