Maria Fernanda Saá-Jaramillo
is a senior associate and member of the tax team. She provides expert advice on local and international tax matters in corporate tax and tax litigation. An active member of the International Fiscal Association and the Ecuadorian Tax Law Institute, she was an officer at the Internal Revenue Service and an IRS-designated negotiator in double-taxation treaties, as well as being in charge of co-ordinating internal taxation matters from 1998 to 2001. She was also a member of the technical group that drafted the bill of the unified text of the Antitrust Law. She has a master's degree in European economic and international tax law, as well as a juris doctor degree.
