About María Celeste Alvarado

María Celeste Alvarado is a senior associate at Coronel & Pérez, specialising in corporate law, M&A and financial transactions. She advises foreign financial institutions on financing structures for Ecuadorean borrowers, and represents international investors entering the Ecuadorean market. María Celeste’s experience covers civil, commercial, procedural, corporate and administrative matters, including due diligence, joint ventures and regulatory compliance. She earned her law degree from Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil and her Master’s in Procedural Law from Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo, where she has also taught Civil Law for the past three years. María Celeste also served as the Regional Director of Corporate Acts and Dissolution at the Superintendence of Companies.
