He worked for more than 20 years as an in-house counsel in various state organisations. He has most experience in the field of oil and gas, energy, as well as in the chemical industry, and he is a recognised lawyer in these sectors. Mr Akmammedov provides legal advice to large foreign companies, investments funds, financial institutions, international organisations, as well as to the government agencies on various types of issues, having been actively involved in the development of more than twenty bills in the economic sphere. He began a private law practice in 2008, and since then he has been the director of the firm Altyn Kanun. Mr Akmammedov has taught for more than six years at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan. He has contributed to several publications which have a more extensive focus on the subject in the field of public procurement.
