About Aifa Shareef

Aifa Shareef is an experienced chartered accountant at Premier Chambers with a strong background in tax audits and investigations. At MIRA, she conducted audits of medium, large and international taxpayers, including multi-national corporations. Aifa also led criminal investigations of tax-related offences and played a significant role in enforcing tax laws and ensuring adherence to both national and international tax standards. She was actively involved in the Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) programme, working alongside international experts to enhance the Maldives’ tax systems. Aifa also worked at Housing Development Corporation Ltd as a Business Development Officer, where she assessed project feasibility and developed financial forecasts.
