About Aifa Shareef

Aifa Shareef is an experienced chartered accountant at Premier Chambers with a strong background in tax audits and investigations. At the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority, Aifa conducted audits of medium, large and international taxpayers, including multi-national corporations. She also led criminal investigations of tax-related offences and played a significant role in enforcing tax laws and ensuring adherence to both national and international tax standards. Aifa was actively involved in the Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) programme, working alongside international experts to enhance the Maldives’ tax systems. She also worked at Housing Development Corporation Ltd as a business development officer, assessing project feasibility and developed financial forecasts.
