About Kiri Harkess
Kiri Harkess
joined the McElroys partnership in 2015 and has practised as a civil litigator since 2004. She has a strong practice in insurance law and civil litigation. She acts for insurers on indemnity disputes, and represents insurers and insureds in professional negligence and disciplinary claims, regulatory actions and other civil disputes. Kiri also leads McElroys’ employment law practice. She is known for her clear, pragmatic advice and her ability to manage complex matters efficiently, whether through litigation or ADR. She brings a thoughtful and client-focused approach to every engagement, combining sound legal analysis with an understanding of commercial realities to help clients manage risk and resolve disputes. Kiri is a member of the New Zealand Insurance Law Association, among other organisations.
