Thanks to his extensive working experience with the China Maritime Safety Administration, he is familiar with the authorities’ procedures and rules regarding ship collision, oil pollution, salvage and emergency response. Mr Wang, who has an LLM degree in maritime law from the University of Southampton, is one of the drafters of various local legislations related to ship-source pollution and a member of the 8th Guangzhou Maritime & Admiralty Committee. He has received substantial instructions from P&I clubs, shipowners, hull underwriters, ship financers, shipyards and salvage companies.
