Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin
is a managing partner and joined the firm in 1998. His areas of expertise include advising clients in the areas of gas and oil exploration, power generation, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence of companies and general corporate affairs. Afzal has experience in the arbitration and has also successfully assisted in defending a client before the World Bank Administrative Tribunal. He was involved as local counsel for Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, in connection with its first financing project in Bangladesh. Afzal currently sits on the board of one of the largest, and first generation, private banks in Bangladesh.
