is head of patent litigation at Ampersand, and a partner at the firm. His key practice areas are patent litigation and any litigation where technology defines the subject matter. Electronics (of all kinds) is an important area of expertise for Mr Haag, in particular telecommunications and consumer electronics. Approximately 50% of his work load is SEP-related. Since gaining his master’s degree (LLM) in Intellectual Property Law in 1999, he has worked exclusively in the area of patent litigation. Before Mr Haag established Ampersand in 2011, he gained more than 12 years of solid patent litigation experience and was head of patent litigation in top international firms. His professional memberships include the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) the Licensing Executives Society (LES), and the Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP). He is a regular contributor to Intellectual Property magazine.
