His key practice area is patent litigation, in particular infringement actions before German courts and co-ordination with parallel nullity actions before the EPO, the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court. His specific expertise includes German patent infringement cases and cross-border patent litigation in the electronics, automobile, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Mr Neels is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He regularly publishes articles on patent law and related matters.
