About Juan Carlos Valencia

Juan Carlos Valencia is a partner at Holland & Knight, and has more than 30 years of experience in tax law, tax controversies, litigation, and corporate structuring. He is currently engaged in numerous tax lawsuits against DIAN. He is an active participant in the legislative and rule-making process in Colombia concerning tax issues, participating in significant lobbying efforts resulting in changes to the Colombian tax code. He has done significant course work at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Harvard Law School and the University of Miami. Juan Carlos is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in Colombia.
