About Chisuwo Hamwela

Chisuwo Hamwela is a partner at Nchito & Nchito with over a decade of post-admission experience. His practice spans competition, arbitration, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, banking and finance, tax, real estate, and insolvency. He has acted in landmark competition, defamation, estates, and employment cases, including leading a successful Supreme Court appeal that overturned the liquidation of a major Zambian newspaper. Known for his pragmatic approach and problem-solving skills, Chisuwo also handles a wide range of personal injury cases on a pro bono basis under the firm’s Giving-Back Policy. Chisuwo holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Zambia and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
