Ben's practice covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law in the UAE and its free zones (including the Dubai International Financial Centre and Abu Dhabi Global Market), Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Ben advised the DIFC on the implementation and drafting of DIFC Law No 2 of 2019, the primary piece of employment legislation in the DIFC. Ben has handled significant amounts of employment litigation in a variety of forums, including the High Court and employment tribunals in the UK, the DIFC and ADGM courts in the UAE, and local labour courts in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Ben has been instructed by other international law firms to provide expert evidence on matters of DIFC and Saudi law in US court proceedings and UK employment tribunal proceedings. Ben is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority, a registered practitioner in the DIFC and ADGM courts, and a member of the American Bar Association.
