About Matthias Reuleaux

Matthias Reuleaux is an of counsel in activelaw’s aviation practice group. Until 2024, he was managing director and chief legal counsel in the aircraft finance department of Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB). Matthias was chairman of the aircraft finance committee of the German Covered Bond Association (2009–20) and acted as industry expert and adviser in legislative procedures, including the Diplomatic Conference for the Adoption of the (Cape Town Convention) Space Protocol (2012). He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars and has published multiple articles in banking and air law journals. Matthias is a member of the advisory board of the The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation.
