has acted, for more than ten years, as counsel and tribunal secretary in disputes involving a few thousand dollars up to several billions of dollars of amount in dispute, with a particular focus on energy and IP related disputes. The respective proceedings were conducted under all the major arbitration rules involving more than a dozen legal systems. He represented a wide variety of clients, including state owned enterprises and several Fortune 500 companies. Johannes is a member of ASA, DIS, ICC YAF, ICDR Y&I, YAAP, LCIA's YIAG, and YSIAC, a regional coordinator for DIS40 in Switzerland and is admitted to the bar in Germany, Switzerland, and England & Wales (barrister). Johannes teaches at university level as well as regularly speaks on arbitration and dispute related topics. For instance, since 2014, Johannes has been serving as lecturer at the University of Zurich for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
