Nikunj Maheshwari has over fifteen years’ experience in banking and finance transactional and advisory work. At AZB & Partners, he represents banks, financial institutions, foreign portfolio investors, foreign equity holders and overseas funds in complex domestic and cross-border debt transactions, debenture and bond issuances, combinations of debt and equity structures, real estate financing, mezzanine and structured finance transactions, inter-bank lending and securitisation and assignment transactions, and inter-creditor arrangements. He advises banks, NBFCs, housing-finance companies and other financial institutions in regulatory and compliance matters, recovery methods and processes. Nikunj has experience in debt-restructuring, distressed debt situations and money recovery from defaulting borrowers, including security enforcement.
