About Rowanie A. Nakan

Rowanie A. Nakan is a senior partner at CMT and leads the firm’s patent group. Her background includes local and international patent trainings, with expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, freedom to operate searches, IP litigation, valuation, and commercialisation. She is among the top passers of the 2007 Patent Agent Qualifying Examination jointly administered by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL) and the European Patent Office. She has spoken on patent-related lectures organised by the IPOPHL and the Department of Science and Technology. Nakan graduated from the UP College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from UP National Institute of Physics.
