About Umberto Piattelli

Umberto Piattelli aids national and international clients in corporate finance and financial regulation. Serving investment funds, multinationals, start-ups, and financial institutions, he specialises in fintech regulation. A partner at LCA since 2022, he has previously led the financial service teams at top international law firms. Umberto represents Italy in the European Crowdfunding Stakeholders Forum and he is a member of the Italian Payment Service Providers’ Association, Assolombarda’s Technical Committee and the Italian Strategic Group of the European Crowdfunding Network. Umberto has authored over 50 publications, including on fintech regulation, and conducts training for the Italian financial police.
