Arissa Ahrom
is a senior associate in LHAG’s employment & industrial relations practice group. She works with Shariffullah Majeed and handles a high volume of industrial relations disputes in the industrial courts and up to the Federal Court involving unfair dismissal claims by employees arising from, among others, restructuring exercises, misconduct, poor performance and constructive dismissal/forced resignation allegations. Arissa also frequently advises clients on disciplinary processes against employees, sexual harassment complaints at the workplace, performance issues, mutual separation schemes and permanent and fixed-term employment contracts. As a niche, Arissa also advises clients on personal data protection from an employment perspective and the localisation of employment contracts of foreign companies establishing a Malaysian presence.
