About Kevin Sharp

Kevin Sharp is co-vice chairman of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight and co-chair of the firm’s Public Interest Litigation group. A former Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, he presided over more than 4,000 civil and criminal cases during six years on the federal bench. Today, Sharp represents clients in complex civil rights, whistle-blower, class action, ERISA and public interest litigation. He has played a leading role in litigation arising from the opioid epidemic and is a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform and clemency. Sharp earned his JD from Vanderbilt University Law School.
