Steven Klemencic specialises in evaluating foreign mergers, acquisitions, and investments impacting US national security. With extensive experience supporting law firms and transactional parties through all stages of the CFIUS review process, he has served as a compliance auditor and advised on national security issues for US and foreign entities. Formerly a senior analyst at the National Intelligence Council, he developed the threat assessment process for CFIUS notifications. His expertise spans supply chain integrity, cyber threat profiling, and leading multidisciplinary audit teams, including the first CFIUS compliance audit in China. A retired US Navy commander, he is based in Washington, DC.
