About Sofia Quental

Sofia Quental leads the private wealth and tax department at VCA, and has expertise in tax planning, tax litigation and advising high net worth individuals under the Non-Habitual Resident tax regime. Clients include internationally recognised artists, investors in emerging asset classes such as cryptocurrency, and other prominent figures. Before joining VCA in 2015, she served as a tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Lisbon, Dublin and Madrid, honing her skills in tax disputes, procedures and planning for both national and international clients. Sofia is also a tax arbitrator at the Administrative and Tax Arbitration Court of Lisbon and an active member of the International Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association.
