About Simon Planzer

Simon Planzer is a partner at Planzer Law. Through his legal practice, publications, presentations, and media work, he has substantially contributed to the cause of empirically informed and sound gaming regulation. He has been invited repeatedly by the IAGR and the GREF to present to regulators. Dr Planzer wrote his PhD on gaming regulation (“Empirical Views on European Gambling Law and Addiction”, Springer) and has published extensively on gaming matters. He studied inter alia at Harvard University, the College of Europe and the European University Institute. Dr Planzer also serves as a Lecturer in Law and Director of the “Competence Center on Gaming & Entertainment” at the University of St Gallen (CH).
