About Joana Karime Novia Ibarra

Joana Karime Novia Ibarra has acted as legal counsel to several companies in the presentation of global and domestic M&A, as well as in the prosecution/defence of companies in investigations into alleged anti-competitive practices before the Mexican antitrust authorities. Karime has developed compliance programmes and participated in the defence of several companies against COFECE’s resolutions before the Mexican Specialised Courts. She was part of the winning team of the 2019 Moot Comp Competition on Antitrust Law, graduated from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and holds post graduate studies from the Regulation and Economic Competition course of CIDE (Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas).
