About Mariana Tavares
Mariana Tavares
is counsel at Antas da Cunha Ecija, specialising in EU law, competition and regulation. She holds a PhD from King’s College London and has served as référendaire at the Court of Justice of the EU and director at the Portuguese Competition Authority. Mariana advises the UN on competition law and engages with international regulatory networks. A co-author of ‘The Law and Politics of Global Competition’, she also lectures at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has been featured in Global Competition Review for her contributions to the field of competition law.
