About Kelle Gagné

Kelle Gagné is a counsel in the Johannesburg office of A&O Shearman. Kelle has more than 20 years’ experience practising as a derivatives, structured finance and regulatory lawyer. She has focused particularly on the regulatory regimes applicable to banks and financial institutions, on legal issues in the securities lending and repo markets and on collateral and netting. Most recently she has advised in relation to the South African resolution framework, Basel implementation in South Africa’s banking laws and capital relief trades. She additionally advises on the payment systems, market infrastructures and crypto-asset service provider regulations.
