About Kana Manabe

Kana Manabe is a partner at Myanmar Legal MHM Limited and qualified in Japan. She has more than ten years’ experience practising in Asia, with a strong focus on Myanmar. Kana has been involved in numerous transactions in Myanmar, including advising Nippon Life and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance on their joint ventures following the opening of Myanmar’s insurance sector to foreign investment, and the establishment of Toyota Myanmar in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. She is contributing to a comprehensive study of Myanmar’s laws and is a co-author of “The Forefront of Myanmar Legal Affairs – Theory and Practice” (2016).
