About Diego Vaiano

Diego Vaiano has been a member of the Rome Bar since January 1994. Within his professional activity, he practises in particular in the fields of healthcare and life sciences and is considered to be one of the leading Italian experts in pharmaceutical and medical devices law. In the last two decades, he has defended the pharmaceutical industry in some of the most challenging litigation in the sector, including in relation to the governance of pharmaceutical expenditure. He was also involved in major negotiations with the Italian Medicines Agency. He has been a member of the Farmindustria Board of Arbitrators since 2008, also acting as a consultant for Confindustria – Medical devices. He has been a Full Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Viterbo – La Tuscia since 1 November 2001. He is the author of many qualified scientific publications on administrative law.
